Day Tripping Charlotte With The Kids

Are you looking for a day trip to take the children on?
There are plenty places that are available to us here in the Charlotte area,
where you can take the kids to have some fun and be back later that day.
The ones below are the ones we highly recommend.
Plus some are FREE!

If your looking for a fun filled day with the kids, go see the Lazy 5 Ranch.
This is a trip that your children will enjoy, lots of animals, outdoor activities and plain
good old fun.
There is even a wagon ride, which I highly recommend.
Its a sure way to keep the kids happy and you will enjoy the scenery too.
So if you and your kids like animals, being outdoors and riding in wagons, this is a
must see.
Approximate travel time from Charlotte is 40 minutes travel time.

This place is a blast for kids and adults with tons of fun for everyone.
Kids love this place, there is lots of dirt, walking, tunnels and nature. Plus panning for gold.
What more can a kid ask for, other than, "Whats for Dinner?"
They will enjoy this place and you will find it interesting, plus it will be time away from the
office for you.
By the way, bring some drinks or water bottles, it does get hot out there.
You can also buy sodas at the museum.
Did I mention, there is No Charge for admission or tours of the gold mine.

If your looking for a fun filled day with rides and attractions, Carowinds is the place to be!
There is plenty of fun for kids and adults all at the same park.
They have a children section and then theres the roller coasters for the much bigger kids
in the family.
Try some of the awesome food that they have in the park. There is something for everyone
when it comes to getting a treat and enjoying the park.
Plus if you and the kids are in the mood to get wet, try the boomerang Bay Waterpark.
Plenty of fun for everyone at Paramount Carowinds.
Approximately 20 Minutes from Charlotte.

Trains, Planes, and Automobiles!
This place has it all for you and the kids to see and enjoy.
Take a ride on an old Steam or Diesel Train and see how good it feels to go back in time with these
old machines. This was how people traveled years ago and you get a chance to revisit history.
Visit the museum, which is full of historic memorabilia of yesteryear.
Plus at various times during the year, visit with Thomas The Train.
Best of all, the Museum is FREE, some charges are for train rides and special events.
Approximate Drive time from Charlotte To Spencer NC is 40 minutes.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is a place full of fun educational things for kids and adults.
While there, you will see and learn tons about plants, flowers, gardens, and much more.
The kids will love it and they will not even realize how much they are learning, since it fun.
This is a must see and do and your kids will thank you for it.
Plus it is a beautiful place to have weddings.
Approximate drive from Charlotte to Belmont is 25 to 30 minutes.
