ARE GAS PUMPS PLAYING MENTAL MIND GAMES WITH US?
Have you ever wondered why gas pumps have three different octane buttons on the pumps, but they only
have one hose to use. Every octane is a different price and you are to choose which one you want, but
again, its still got the one hose.
Is this some kind of mental mind game? Have you ever wondered that maybe it is really just one octane
and they are trying to see how much they can charge for gas by seeing which buttons get pressed most
of the time. Is this the gauge that they use to see how much they can charge for gas tomorrow? “Wow,
we had a lot of people hit the high Octane button, lets charge more tomorrow.”
I always feel like I am a guinea pig in some type of experiment every time I pull up to one of these
pumps. I wonder if the clerks inside are taking bets on which one I will press.
So next time you pull up to one of these things, ask yourself this, “Am I in some type of experiment here?”
