| "Gas Stations And Cigarettes" |
| Have you ever pumped your gas at a gas station and seen the signs that clearly state no smoking? I think everyone thinks that’s a reasonable sign to have on a gas pump, as fire and gas don't mix. I have thought about this for years and years. Why in the world would you sell something that you know could make the entire place blow up and look like Chernobyl? I am sure you know what I am talking about, Cigarettes. It's like the gas stations are playing Russian roulette to see who will be the one to light up and pump there gas at their car. It happens, believe it or not, habits are done without thinking and people do just that, purchase cigarettes and then pump their gas. They don't do it intentionally, but it’s just a habit. Hence the reason for the signs. This brings me back years ago, when I worked in an office building. I was sitting at my desk talking with someone in the office, which by the way was a no smoking office at the time. As we chatted, they lit a cigarette and started smoking it, without realizing what they had done. After two minutes it dawned on them what they did. So please, can someone go ask these gas stations why they sell Cigarettes when it is the main thing they are trying to tell everyone to avoid at the pump. My two or three cents, Al |
