Low pay scales. Have you ever wondered why our most valuable assets, our children, are being taught in a society where the people teaching them can barely make a living themselves. The same goes for Police Officers, the ones who are protecting us, putting their lives on the line daily, dealing in a hostile environment to keep everyone safe and yet, they get paid very little. We live in a society where if you are a good athlete, you are looked upon as an idol and get paid enormous amounts of money. Yet, when someone is teaching and molding the minds of children, they are paid low wages and not given a lot of recognition that they deserve. The same goes with Police Officers, they don’t get the credit, recognition or pay they deserve. They are doing a job that most of us would not even think about doing, yet our society needs them and many more of them. Our society would be chaotic without them and yet, it’s a job that is not rewarded nearly enough for all the hard work they do and putting there life on the line everyday. Our society needs to reevaluate our priorities in order to make our country be the best in education and civilized living. There are also a lot of good people that bypass these positions due to the pay. If our country as a whole made these top priorities, our communities in this country would excel. If our Schools budgets and Police Budgets were full of money so that they could get what was needed to make them the best, instead of sacrificing things, think how different things would be in our communities. If they had the money that the cities put towards Coliseums, Stadiums and other foundations in our community, it would truly show that no child is left behind and our police officers were fully stocked with needed equipment for their job.
